Most good serials are only good when crisp. But some really good ones, very few, are good in that condition. Ex. A12345678A would be pricey...

Teh hat thing is a known error, so is the 'Rising Sun' over the other side of the hill, I have a few of them so I can assure you they are common :-P

I just got a $1 note, serial G00000946L :-) Crisp, but lightly folded. Also, the other night, a $5 from 1934 in OK condition.
I have no idea how much they go for once graded, that's the thing :-P I think I may sell them as 1 bundle, or possibly in 1/10 with a usual couple...

I use my nail or toothpick to gently graise the surface; a crack will stop the toothpick or nail, and if it's a scratch the toothpick or nail will...
I count 5 cracks on this 96P quarter, the best one coming right out of the back of the Eagle's head! Obverse: E->R in "Liberty" Bust->6...
