It's a great coin and looks uncirculated to the untrained eye. I might not have gotten a spectacular deal, but it was worth it to me.
I gave 5 bucks for it, which I thought was more than fair. It was marked $7 but he gave me a discount.
When I clean coins, it is because there is gunk or gum on it that can easily be removed.
Somebody spent it. I accepted it as a quarter, and paid a quarter for it. It's in bad shape but it's old and foreign.
