Near clearer photos. Without that I would guess, circulated, slanted 5 variety. $20-$25 if it has not been cleaned.
Yes thank it. I just wanted to compare that photo to the OP. You can see in Paddy 54's photo how much separation there is.
Agree that the lighting on this photo makes it appear that it has been cleaned.
There's no need to send it in. In the top photo on post 59 it is an obvious business strike coin. $15-$20 max retail.
I am not seeing it as a detached leg. There needs to be more space and separation between the top of the leg and the body.
The OP photo is not as detached as the example in post #4. It does seem slightly detached. A comparison photo of a non detached one would help.
Very nice. Take a look for the Almost thread. This is a clear almost.
In 1944 and 1945 the total for the 2 years of shell case cents is not at a mintage of 3 billion 642 million. Almost 400 million ounces. 25 million...
You can see that the obverse in the photo post 59a (top half) this is not a proof.
Looks Chinese from a mile away.
This year has been a little on the weak side. And this current "thing" is not going to help. Last year I did very well, and those hunts are...
They never used spent shell casings. The collection of, (massive amounts) shipping, melting down, makes it more than highly unlikely. Once these...
Had some things tested. The first one on the left which is not stamped and we both thought was real, came back real. The middle one which is not...
The luster appears to be plating and if it were copper and this circulated after 40 years it would be more copper colored and less shiny. By...
It is not off center as Hoopster explains because BOTH sides are not misaligned. It's true the obverse is a little more misaligned than is usually...
There is no way to tell where the dot is in your last photo. My instinct says it is going to come back as genuine 1909 VDB- XF 45.
Did you weigh it? I am guessing it is the 2.5 gram style. 2.5 grams copper plated zinc planchet and 3.1, the old style copper which is worth a...
As for the OP and the video, the designs are good. But the timing is bad. That is Jefferson on the ten and Kennedy on the twenty. We need the...
Initially the rims looked a bit wide. But other than that, nothing looks like anything other than a business strike. "It's a proof trust me." So...
While the reverse may be XF, the obverse shows unusual wear and is VF. Despite the toning, this is a common circulated wheat cent. It would have...
