I think you should go to coppercoins.com. That site is ver good.
The 53 D looks like it might be something. The others look like Machine Doubling.
Or, maybe just that year the mint did something different. I don't think it worth any more than a dime.
No, I did not sell that 93D as a dd. I sold it as a die variety. I think I did very well on it.:goof:
I hear you bhp3rd, I do the same thing. I go on coppercoins.com, and seen all the examples of dd over the years. And the dates you give that you...
Thanks :hammer:
I look close enough to notice the differences on the coin, that is it.
Might just be MD.....:ohya:
I think this one might be doubled....:kewl:
Well, I know it not worth much, was just wondering if there is any history behind it? Sometimes organizations do stuff like this.:)
I think this is some kind of "Ode to Maryland". Has anyone seen anything like this or know what it is for?
Yes, I think it is MD. I think the serifs would have to be doubled as well:whistle:
I think the half dollar alone is worth 20-25 dollars in mint.
I tell you what.. I found a way to buy all the reasonable coins that I like. I do a lot of roll searching, and find pennies and nickels worth...
1970 penny in set look funny...:hatch:
Here's mine, hope it can help I bought it for the half dollar only:rolleyes:
You actually found that in a roll from the bank? I wonder what Shulb put that into circulation?:headbang:
No, I don't see any chip or"blob" on the coin at all on the reverse.:rolling:
I will give it a shot!
:cool:Yes, I found it in rolls from the bank. I live in a downtown area near two banks. I just go to each one bugging tellers.
