I think chop marks should give a mild increase on value (after accounting for the damage done to detail on the coin). So, I would pay a few...
I'm not sure how to grade this - what grade & value would you assign to this?
It looks like a 2 Pai (20mm). But that gave me the info I needed to find it. Thanks!
I think you did pretty decently. I've seen those sell for both more and less in those grades. Pretty coins, with some cool history.
About 20mm. I checked against Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, & Yemen (the Toughra suggests Ottoman to me) but have drawn a blank:

I picked up 2 more of these tokens at the TNA last weekend. One appears to be a Breton 704 ("Un Sou" in wreath reverse, with "Token" above &...
Juxtaposing the coins shown on that link with my images, I think I finally spotted the "rings around pearl" variety type indicator. Am I correct...
Interesting, and thank you for the link. I'm familiar with older coins (primarily US & Spanish) that circulated in China with chopmarks to attest...
Still no update. I tried calling the TSA office and they told me to hurry up and wait.
If you click on the image, it will zoom in. The image was taken with a 5MP camera, and the coin is practically full screen when zoomed in. I...
