Many coins are scarce in circulated condition. The 1885 Carson City Morgan comes to mind.
There's almost always a better coin to be had in the future.
When I now look at a coin I just know at first glance if it's one I want to own. I've learned not to have to make myself decide to like it.
When you peruse the take a penny leave a penny tray as the cashier rings up your groceries.
