@expat was very close. This is a 1 Lepton coin from the Ionian Islands (1834-1862). The link he provided was for the 2 Lepta piece. Here is the...
I’d grade it a VG-10, but I wouldn’t be shocked by a F-12.
I was thinking the same thing. I’m genuinely excited for you to get this coin in hand. You may need to dim your lights before you look at it. :)
Congratulations! Please let us know when it arrives. I suspect it will be even nicer in hand than the photographs suggest.

I went back forth between 61 and 62, but given my experiences with PCGS and world coins, I opted for 62. I bet this thing pops in hand!

I had thought about Air-Tite holders, but I assumed they would have the same issue described with the Quadrum XL holders. Both of the new medals...
A much-awaited package arrived today with a couple of new medals for my collection. The new additions are relatively large (i.e., 56 mm & 63 mm)...
Excellent post! You summarized a ton of history in a very approachable way, and I love the bit at the end about good ole George needing a coin...
I can't remember if I already posted this one. I have really slacked off on this thread! :sorry: 1926 Chile 20 Pesos [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I have never used their service, but the coins I have seen in their holders have been less than consistently graded.
Yup, after a little more thought, I believe the other was a Lafayette medal. It’s currently for sale for nearly double what it sold for at...
It thought the same, but geesh that would have been very nit-picky given how minor the rim bump is.
