I'd buy them for face value. I got a few rolls awhile back managed to sell them at a flea market for 10 for $12 and got rid of red seal $2 bills...

Roll it yourself and take it to your bank except for pennies take that to Coinstar. Bank might have a counter they can run it through for free...
maybe because they aren't really worth holding onto ? I sold over 100 of them recently, was glad to get $2.50 a note. I got them at bank this...
