I bet googling 'cent lamination' would get some info, also try wikipaedia. Laminations don't add much , but can turn a 10 cent coin to a $2 coin....
A lamination is a flaw in the planchet, not the die. It is usually caused when the metal is rolled out to the proper thickness.
The edges of the crack are raised, therefore it is a lamination crack.
Frank, I also had problems with turbolister, but now I use Auctiva, it's free and does more, even 24 supersize pictures for free.
That might be coated with mercury, it sticks very well to copper.
