It most likely is a straight clip as the edge of the clip shows some different paths of lines :)
The Blakesley effect is not visable on straight clips only on curved clips like yours :)

Well it seems I was wrong and this is a clip error :)
This baby was made by mistake in 300 pieces, Not 300.000 just 300 total pieces. It was minted on a much thicker planchet and one of my favourit...
Being a dealer does not equal knowledge I know some dealers that I could sell a donkey to as a horse. So yes dealers will and have been fooled....
