I agree with the advice to buy a recent Red Book. Then read it! Consult it when you have a coin like a 1974 50c to find the answer to your questions.
Different "lightning" will turn a dime blue every time.
I would give them all grades of Fine, but they're really not worth grading, as they're common Wheaties and worth at most 2c each.

I just looked at the site for S-L 25c, and all I saw were lower grade coins, not the kind of coins I want in my Registry Set.
I don't doubt that it required a lot of work, but I suspect that putting together a Morgan set all in the grade of F12 would take the same amount...
