I think the dime has been pressed flat, I would bet if you put a normal dime on top of it the flat dime is bigger.

I looked at it under a 30x loupe and I think what you are seeing are a couple hits in just the right places.
Nickels in general are where I tend to focus although I have a little of just about everything - purposefully. I do not have many die varieties...
I think this sums it up well. The rub / mishandling on the reverse I feel is just that. A coin cleaned would more likely have hair lines on both...
