[ATTACH][ATTACH] From roll searching
:kewl:
I hereby revive my thread. Any more toned coins?
I think that it's cool and interesting that you can read the date. Was it from roll searching?
Me too, and I have had similar surprises. Isn't it great!
[ATTACH] From the reverse, this cent appears to have stuck several times... [ATTACH] But from the obverse, there is no evidence of multiple...
Yes, cents minted in 1968 and below are high relief (the image is thicker). This is normal. This is today's relief. [ATTACH] And this is the...
If that were the case, can you get pictures of the edge?
There are definitely older coins that are in mint state, they are just more scarce, and they won't be in circulation.
As you can see from this cent, a "roadkill coin" can very much end up looking very different.[ATTACH]

Of course I found grease filled dies, but this double clipped planchet was the first not so common error I ever had (roll searching)....
Box of cents- only 6 wheats :(. I was hoping for more. Surprisingly, the oldest coin was not a wheat, it was a 1939 Canadian cent.
I think that that is a misaligned die (MAD). EDIT: IF it is centered on the reverse then it;s a MAD.
For the 1909 S vdb, is it the small spot of verdigris in the E in One?
I also think the 1914 D is fake- the legends look wrong.
What about the spot in the t in states?
Separate names with a comma.
