I have seen several like this and it looks like it's struck thru light oil or grease.
I found this 1922 Peace Dolar with a die gouge on the reverse side right of the leaves. Is there a VAM for this?

Close but no cigar. Trade it for 50 $1's. maybe you'll get a better number.

The Dollar Looks Ms 62 - 63. But With The Scrapes I Would Knock It Down To A Ms60.
