what are the copper guys opinion on this one? TPG grade would likely be 40 to 45? How about EAC net grade? [ATTACH][ATTACH]
good catch condor. I meant to type silly head
funny and booby head were from 1839. 1851 looks vf 30 or so. 1855 half cent looks like xf details to me. Rim damaged. Cannot see 1836 coin well...
going to say vf 20 with environmental issues. Looks pitted on obverse.
that helped. Can see the notch where the 2 meet now.
those cuds are tough to see for me. I can see one maybe.
nice to see prices rebound finally. Price went down a lot faster than the upside is happening. Hope trend continues.
This one looked like an N-16 R5- to me. Hoping the color is off on the picture and it looks more brown rather than orange. Around F-12 or so??...
Looking for a decent example of this coin type. VG to VF grade with nice eye appeal.
vf 35 nice one
looks like an N-19 to me.
another vote for brown.
thanks for that helpful info spirityoda!
I am leaning toward keeping it. Not being all that familiar with toning premiums I thought I would ask the group. Thanks for the replies!
got this coin recently and thought toning was attractive. Do you think its worth more than bullion? [ATTACH]
not a bad idea. Cost me 2 bucks to ship it back so not too terrible.
already packaged it to ship tomorrow but its by the bun on hair all the way to rim near a star.
Seattlite86 was right when he saw a scratch on upper obverse. Scratch looks much worse in hand so back she goes. Gamble was unsuccessful this time.
probably a good rule to follow about holding the coin but I thought the coin looked like a decent buy for $34 shipped. might change my mind after...
pics are so-so but I thought this coin was at least vf-35. How would you grade it?...
