i don't see any reason to not look in the roll, the ends are just folded over, unless they are taped. Yes, the roll must be opened.
It took me 8+ years to fill my first 41-up book, collecting from roll searching and buying fine or better cents from a neighbor. I have 11 sets...
It has the bumpiness of a cast counterfeit, but is not something one would do for profit. I think it was burned.
That is very nice for an AU58, I'd bet it would grade higher if re-submitted to another TPG.
