Totally agree with @Oldhoopster and @lordmarcovan logic. Likely a 19th century reproduction that was part of a set used for educational purposes.
There is such a genuine counterstamp with sharp angles, but the lettering is different. Yours looks like a combination of the shape from one type...
Well the counterstamp is definitely modern (wrong size/shape/style). Host coin doesn't appear to be genuine either, judging by the crude lettering...

Incuse marks like these are not really worrisome unless you find other examples that have the same exact marks.
The halos around some letters lead me to believe it toned this way from being in an album, but not doused in chemicals. Not sure if that answers...

I think this has come up before. They used a common early date and then extrapolated the rest, such as last two digits of the date and silver...
