The 1917 looks like a Doubled-Die Obverse with the shape of the 9, the 1943 seems to be missing the 4, thoughts?
This one is so dirty, it just might be a mark/scratch, it does seem really straight though for a scratch or mark that small...../shrug
It was in with a roll I bought, I thought it might be corrosion too but it's way to straight and right next to the other 1.
This might be a better scan.
