Gary Adkins seems to deal mostly with higher-end pieces. Usually prices are a bit higher than I would expect or would care to pay, likely due to better-than average eye appeal. I'm pretty sure each piece is hand-picked for inventory. I love that their website ( http://www.coinbuys.com ) has hi-res images of everything currently available, and they are removed immediately after purchase. I've worked with Gary, Don and Nick, and have been very satisfied with their service. I've learned something, every time I've been in. Some of the best pieces in my collection have been purchased here.
I recently purchased a Stone Mountain commemorative, MS66, from this firm. They offered a fantastic price and the coin was no less than stunning. I hope to do business with them again real soon!
Gary is now doing business through David Lawrence Rare Coins, but continues to live and work out of Minnesota.
