That's correct. It's the only design accepted as to being authentic. It has the Harp on the reverse. It's also the only one listed now in the Red Book. All the others have been removed.

I posted a couple of links in your thread. The "coin" you posted, if authentic (which if you read the post, can't be) would be worth $50,000. These post-colonial coins have been replicated for probably a hundred years or more and now that the Chinese are in the counterfeiting business, they are flooding the market with them. There have been other threads on this and other forums about this very coin, for the last few years.

It just a neat souvenir. I'd hang on to it.

      Greetings.
I am all about a set of BU Icelandic. I love the designs, as some folks used to bring them back from Iceland field teams, where they went where I worked. We had field teams there. If you were to put together a set of one each of them, would you market it? I sure am thankful someone on the board got these. Even if you don't part with them....Congratulations!!!

Last year I decided to work less and ease into retirement. It was great. I hunted almost every possible day and I found I had more energy and was more productive. During the winter, we had major staff turnover (students leaving, cutting out some of the dead wood, and a couple of retirements). That meant training almost a dozen new people, some worked out, some didn't. Because of that I began putting in more and more time. I'm getting too old to work harder than I did when I was twenty. I enjoy my leisure time and need to get that balance back.

Work as hard as you need to. Life goes so fast that before you realize it, you're too old or frail to do what you enjoy.

I had that revelation a couple of years ago when I lost several friends (to illness, heart attacks and cancer) over the course of a year or two. It made me realize work wasn't everything. I have to get back to that kind of thinking again. soon.

In the past I took my detector with me but here lately I have just been working 12-16 hr days and am too tired to detect maybe I need to cut t he days shorter when working with contractors I use to enjoy hitting the road so I could hunt.

In the state of KY we have a salesman and me so I am always on call the nearest employee to me is almost 6 hrs away. I am pretty much a one man show I do it all or hire someone to do it. I am hoping the guy from St Louis can cover the lower part of Indiana for me soon. Covering the whole state of Kentucky and lower IN and Ohio is taking a toll on me. Tim

The state bought some old houses in my area to widen the road the tore down the houses and I have to get down there and hunt the yards one of my neighbors bought a piece of property and move his landscaping business there and gave me permission to hunt the old home site it was a log cabin that got added on to the house go torn down about 5 years ago. I have got to find the time work is killing me.

Began collecting in August of this year after purchasing a high-end metal detector. With winter arriving, I am now obsessed with collecting coins and bills.
