I see the tab, but when I click on it, I get the no clearance message.

Do you think it's going to be a purchase by space classified advertising section? I wouldn't mind that at all. Thoughts?

I don't think that part of the site has been fully built yet. Peter seems to still be adding and testing features.
The Auctions Listings and OPEN section are still there so this might be something similar but different.

If I recall correctly, the upload season thread had some mention of the open section and he was working on something that would allow more than one posting a week. Maybe this is what he was alluding to? Honestly, I think it's a good idea. He has every right to try and get this place to pay for itself and maybe get a few sheckles for himself.

I concur! I keep suggesting that the Bullion Investing forum have a module or widget added that displays real time PM prices with a link to Kitco or some other bullion site, so hits to that link help to defray costs here through traffic to those sites and ad revenue. I'm less a fan of invasive banner ads, but if a subscription or supporter level donation would free my CT experience of advertising, I'd gladly pay my dues for the convenience and streamlined operation of the site.

It looks like a real classfied ad section now....without any listings....I'm sure we'll be notified of what it is soon enough.

Who would like to be the first to give it a spin?

I'm tempted... are there any rules posted about usage?

You know you want to be first. :)

Let's just call this "beta" and we'll iron out the details as we figure out how people use it. For now, I believe it's configured so anyone who had the rights to post in the old "Open" section can post a classified. The old rule was one per week per person, the new one will limit you to one at a time (meaning, you can list another one when you current one gets bought or expires). I also set it up so the "Supporters" get many more listings than regular members. Go ahead and list something. You can list a simple ad, or an auction or a wanted post. We'll probably need to tinker with the categories too if everyone here starts using it. I'll also figure out how to put a block of recent ads on the right column, like the recent posts.

Okay. I'll get to work then and see what I can post. Thanks!

Peter: I know there is a misc. section in classified but would you consider adding a Paper Money category as well?

Wow...looks pretty straightforward...click on post classified and it walks you right through it...

Paper Money sounds like a good idea.

Thank you for adding that category as well.

Well, now you have to add a listing in there, after I added that category just for you!

Krispy, do you have the ability of a pic? I'm not a buyer, just curious if pics can be added.

Yes, at least two pics are supported in the fields at the bottom of the item description page. I figured if I needed to provide more I could email the buyer, place them in my albums or provide a link to my Photobucket folder with the images of the item for sale.

    I don't see any pics.

I did not post any images with my listing. However in the listing set up you can add images, there are two fields for input, upload from your computer.
