    i can get 100 ounces for 17.80/oz in the form of 10 - 10 ounce silvertown bars.

    Go for it. It sounds like an excellent deal to me. Spot silver is currently at $18.85/oz according to Kitco.com. Any deal where you can buy silver for under spot is an excellent deal to me.
