What would happen if we were to change to the "Amero"?

Unless it was the last straw from when our major inflation is kicking in. And then they move to the Amero and backed it by metals weather Gold or Bimetallic.

It isn't a matter of opinion. It is a matter of accurate thinking. I see a lot of stuff repeated here that can be found on various internet sites that is pure unsubstantiated opinion masquerading as fact. I obviously won't stop anybody from saying or believing it other than to point it out on occasion, but I won't respect inaccurate thinking under any circumstances.

The major news stations and news papers are owned by Guess who? The groups which i mentioned in my previous post.

And with the new bill being passed having to due with radio stations( "having to produce an unbiased opinion, or at least showing both sides of the story) which points the finger at christian stations. I believe the only 2 or 3 that were shut down were christian radio stations.

Daniel Carr has created some fantasy or prototypes of the amero. I have the copper 1 amero, and the silver 100 amero. pretty cool looking. (Daniel Carr is the designer of the New York state quarter & 1 or 2 others that I cant seem to remember.

A great read, but way off my original question.

What would happen to gold and silver investments IF the U.S. were to join currency with Canada and Mexico? Seriously, I'm not rambling about if we go to a North American Currency, only curious about if we were to (hypothetically if you wish).

 

I recommend going back to read my earlier statement about the IMF. They are nothing but a paper tiger.

The US Senate just voted 94-0 to prevent any US tax dollars from being funneled through the IMF to bailout Europe. As I said before, the IMF, The Federal Reserve and the BIS can all be neutered instantly by the Washington politicans if they desire to do so. The IMF has no money of it's own.

 

The IMF has SDRs. I believe I read somewhere that in 2009, the IMF issued debt denominated in SDRs for the first time. Before that, they backed SDRs with their foreign currency reserves. But now that they are using their own debt-backed SDRs, it would be proper to state that they have money of their own.

"The SDR is neither a currency, nor a claim on the IMF. Rather, it is a potential claim on the freely usable currencies of IMF members."
