Anyone seen this auction,#27762011 at ebid or know what size coins he is selling?I see someone bought ten of them only just this Sunday.Maybe I posted in wrong place.
Searching on that number doesn't bring up an auction that fits your description. Please post a direct link.
...but do you have a problem providing the link... :goofer: 2010 American Buffalo Gold Coin, 24-karat gold 99.99% By "size" I suppose you want to know that it is a 1 oz. 24k pure gold coin from the US Mint. The simplest of searches online ore even here for the keywords in the sellers title should provide you with that information.
They state they have a quantity of 17 of these... these graded 2010s only recently came out... there looks to be someone who bought 10 pieces, scroll down to the bidding history at the bottom. Sellers feedback is for a bunch of magic and new age-y paraphernalia, no other coins look to be bought/sold by this seller per the 7 feedback there.
Same seller has other items as well listed: PAMP SUISSE 10 oz. Gold Bar Fine Gold 9.999 for $875.87 and 3 available...
I sent an inquiry to ebid regarding the illogical selling prices of all his gold coins and bars, plus the bar has a link to an off-site bullion dealer. Every item he has listed has multiple items available for grossly under priced amounts. There may be a fraudulent attempt in these listings, but I can't see anything in the description that particularly stands out apart from the pricing. Hopefully, eBid will monitor his auctions and step in if they see something.
I for one have never heard that about ebid.net. Can you provide some more evidence of what you are referring to? Sounds like rumors not competitor communications. There's not a lot going on at ebid typically when compared to ebay, but it's not immune from scammers plying their cons any more than is ebay immune from it.
I just got a 'thank you' reply from the ebid Support Team regarding these auctions which I inquired about earlier today and suggested that they monitor for fraudulent activity. ebid mentions, "We have taken the appropriate action with this member." They shut ALL of his auctions down. The Sellers selling name now shows a strike through. ebid may have simply closed or locked him out of his account per their investigation. Pretty swift action.
