I saw two of them in the last few days selling on ebay for way less for what they are worth. I'm talking about those one ounce silver bars with a marijuana leaf on the front and the words "legalize it" on the back. I saw one go yesterday for 11 bucks total. Would you buy one? I wouldn't. It has nothing to do with the debate over it, it's because my collection is also my 10 year old daughter's collection. The same reason I wouldn't buy one of those Girls Gone Wild bars. Plus, I'm not sure if I'd ever be able to sell it to my local dealer...he's an old stick in the mud.
The bars are not actually pure silver. 100 mills means they have a thin silver plating, so paying $11 for one would be a really bad deal for you.
Thanks for telling me that. I guess I'm not the only one who knows what 100 mil means, I just saw two go for 18 bucks a piece.

Stay away from the marijuana leaf silver bars. Like someone said earlier, they are silver plated. They are not solid .999 silver bars.
It's an interesting coin, but 60 bucks for a clad coin seems like a bad investment strictly speaking from the bullion standpoint. It only has a few atoms of silver in it. I had considered getting one of these a few months ago until I discovered it wasn't silver.
So, my question is, why (unless you are a huge pot head) would anyone want to own one of these? Are people mislead into believing it is solid silver?
I like it because it is everything a coin should not be (IMO). Plated, colorized and scented. Plus it has the taboo factor.
One of two reasons. 1.) They like it to have one of these and do not care that it is not solid silver or 2.) They buy it thinking that they are getting 1-oz .999 silver for a cheap price and do not know what 100 MILS is. I am going to give benefit of the doubt that they are buying it because of reason #1 but that is just a wild guess on my part.
