I take a look at gold coins across the pond once in awhile, mostly just to admire as they're usually too pricey for my interest! Maybe worth it to some as the mintage is low, only 3,000 for this 1/4 Sovereign Proof! Here's the link, wouldn't allow me to attach pics, not sure why. Oh well, there's a Youtube link but it's not the same coin! https://www.royalmint.com/sovereign...orial-quarter-sovereign-2022-gold-proof-coin/

It would be nice if the British issued a four piece coronation gold set with the half sovereign, sovereign, two pound and five pound coins like they did for his grandfather, George VI. They couldn’t issue one for his mother because the country’s economy was in the dumps after World War II. Her set didn’t even have a silver coin in it. The trouble is the issue price will be through the roof. The five pound piece is heavier than a U.S. $20 gold piece. I could see an issue price of close to $10,000.
Sorry, have to say it, but I spent years bemoaning QEII on the obverse of many countries coins. Given this portrait, that reminds me strongly of a portrait of a toad, (seriously, I thought I saw one at first glance), I kind of miss her portrait in comparison.
I have enough of pictures of the royal family and dont need another...LOL sticking with my Krugerrands, liberties and eagles for now
