i want to trade a tube of ase's all are cleaned with baking soda but one is horrible shape and has a decent scratch i know i wont get exactly what they sell for on ebay as theres still toning on rims and its scratched but what can i expect my coin delaer to give me for it?
I'd expect you would get the same price as that of beat up cleaned and damaged silver rounds. Usually under spot or if your lucky at spot price.
Considering the condition you describe, spot price of silver will likely be the maximum you will get. Wait until the price increases to a level that covers your costs and then sell. TC
The going price around here is spot +$1 to $2. Take them to a dealer and ask how much he'll give you. Don't mention the condition. He'll figure it out and might be more generous than you assume since he'll know what his customers will accept. If you badmouth your own coins, the offer price will drop.
Why didn't you mention the condition? You should go back and edit the post because folks can't see what you are selling. Be honest in all of your dealings. Are a couple of extra dollars worth more to you than your reputation?
I strongly agree. That said, I think the coins are worth a bit more than just melt. But who would trade for two 10 oz. bars/ Silver spoon thrown in? You may be better off just holding those coins if you can afford to do so. If not just dump them on eBay with some accurate pictures.
Fisher2.....sigh....you ARE taking a real chance on your reputation....the ad in the OPEN forum for that trade....you should be up front on those ASE condition. ALWAYS be honest and up front. Good luck to you and I won't say any more on this subject. Jim
selling cleaned coins is like washing your money down the drain.. keep the coins for yourself.. if you need money that bad.. work over time.. trust me.. cause you wont make as much as you should..
