So I finished going through the remainder of my old collection and here's two last golden beauties I rediscovered. Both purchased in 2006. George V sovereign. Was $150 at the time. I felt I got robbed paying those prices. Felt like the coin shop overcharged me by $10. And I really splurged on this Ducat at an eye watering $65.
Really like the reverse on the sovereign, have a similar coin with almost the exact design in silver.
Man. Don't get me thinking about all the piles of silver bullion I could have created if I'd spent my 'fun' money on coins between 2003 and 2009 once I started my professional career. C'est la vie.
