oooohhhh..... Yes please on the photos! That has to be some of the nicest bar silver there is. I bought two kilo stackers from APMEX but they are not good looking at all. When I bought them, I was thinking they might be like the Scottsdale....no joy. Who ever posts the snaps; What is your opinion of Scottsdale and their silver?
You can email them and request the dimensions of their stacker products: Contact us: Best method is email: sales@ScottsdaleSilver.com
im not wondering about dimensions like in hand shots to see how it will fill up a hand or next to an ase etc
Well if you need to imagine what 10 oz of silver looks like then look at 10 ASEs... From the description on their web site these are designed with storage in mind, so they are going to be on par with other bars but 'stack' better and accordingly fit certain other standard dimensions: link
i know everything about the sites description i just need something next to it for size and i want on of in hand to see how it will fill
10 oz. bars will fill most hand sizes. If you get the dimensions from the company, you can use a ruler and compare in hand. You could even make a scale mock up model out of paper and tape to represent the bar based on the three basic dimensions: length, width, height.
Scottsdale Stackable on YouTube -- Around the 2 minute mark you can see it compared to a pistol and bullets with bars stacked in a briefcase, which would be insanely heavy to carry. A personal collection on YouTube with a "hand" invovled (not sexy) Yet another stack of stackables... Just you need to do a little Googling rather than fishing the threads... there's more in the right column on those YouTube links that you can explore.
Looks like Scottsdale has hit on a great marketing gimmick. The stacker will probably outsell every other bar on the market.
Yes you are going to look a bit ridiculous making a dash for the private jet with that gun in one hand, and a couple 200 pound briefcases on one of those little rolly carts... . Sorry, actually the silver was gorgeous. Thanks for posting the link.
Hey fisher, Seems like everyone wants to come up with a post without trying to answer your question. Maybe they just didn't read your question before responding? Here is a great link for some video on the 10oz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZvfGw0jGM8&feature=related It is a bit shaky but shows the nice "heft" of the poured. I did just notice that Academy makes the stackers which is the same as the Kilo I just got from another shop. I think we might start to see more stacker without the giant premium that Scottsdale asks for. They have nice stuff but I wonder if you would ever get the premium back on the sell end? Having said that, I might start to save up for a poured!
Hey xtronic, maybe you too should re-read the thread, as not everyone missed the OP. Links and suggestions were made to the OP prior to your post, including video featured on YouTube that features Scottsdale Stackers in relation to a hand and other hand-sized objects, i.e. a pistol, breifcase and a gasp! even a hand! Some thread starters just post to forums because they can't or won't do the simplest web search themselves and many fail to read forum threads before they make blanket claims like this about other thread commentors. encil:
I have to say that these bars looks quite nice , the only major turn off for me is the "in god we trust" they should of just plastered Anne Coulters face on it...
Ooops! I didn't mean to upset you Krispy. Feel free to vent your frustration on me anytime. btw, what do you think about the premium? Is it likely that one would recover that in 5-10-20 years, over the junk or ASE? (yes I know that is not the only reason why peps buy silver)
It's all good. I was just sayin' (venting) because a lot of folks overlook the information already available because they don't take the time to read threads before posting in them. But it's good to see like minds can find a source to an inquiry speedily when the topics arise. :thumb:
Also, a lot of questions can be answered with a simple google search, but you have to know what to search for to get the answer you need. Lots of people don't have the experience searching to know how to get the info they're looking for.
I know, right! Some folks have the ability to post endless questions in a thread, but if only they had put the inquiry in the Google search box first then took some time to read a few different sources of information to answer their own questions they might start threads out that much more informed!
honeslty none of this debate is needed all i wanted was a pic of one in hand the vids are hard to tel size while a pic woud be best of one layingnin palm but noone wants to do that so..
"so..." you whine and whine and whine. Nothing's good enough for you, boo hoo! Even if you had a pic with one of these bars in a hand, the size of the estranged hand would give you no frame of reference for the true scale of the bar since every person is a different size... which is why I told you earlier to write to Scottsdale customer support asking the actual dimensions of the bars and to build a scale mock-up based on those dimensions. Then you could test the size of the bar in your own hand.
