    Thanks mpcusa,
    These were re-strikes, like the majority of the 1947 gold 50 pesos. The only reason I would pay for a grade would be if I was putting together a complete set 1917-1921
    or perhaps not buying from a known-to-be-honest dealer.

    I made a run at a half ounce 2016 proof 69 libertad on eBay but just helped someone else spend a few more bucks.
    Chasing some 5% eBay bucks but the other guy was probably doing the same.

    The 1/10 Oz are really cool as well
    extremely low populations, haven’t
    been adding to much in this arena
    as of late, but if I find something
    that catch’s my fancy, will take the
    plunge..LOL

    Yep, Mexican gold is really nice but pricey as well! I have very little, a couple of 1/4 ouncers from 1981 posted in another thread! thumbsup.gif

    the premiums are pretty high thats for sure 1 oz libertads going for $2,500 and
    up depending on the year.
