all these single coin low mintages must have its original box and c.o.a. coins breaking up from a set will not be considered. the set have their own box and c.o.a. no wonder the AGB gold prices went up a lot. you have to believe it.

 

Prices for 2006w- 2008w AGE inching their way up

I have been following these coins for some time and its time to make my report. While other gold bullion coins are going down,burnished series is going up.

I have contacted many dealers to buy or sell these issues along with the fractional gold buffalo coins. No one has had them come into their shop. Buy prices from a few, were half greysheet bid. A few shops paying close to ebay prices.

Prices have stabilized a little,. As soon as most of these coins are in collectors hands, prices will climb higher.

2006w & 2007W $5- About $175 raw or ms-69. Alittle higher for ms-70( either grading service)

2008w $5- average right now is around $275. Up to $500 for PCGS 70, little less for NGC 70's. The KEY for this size. Right now dealers and flippers have quite a few of these in thier hands. Expect prices up in 6 months.

2006w & 2007w $10 Average price is around $500 ( raw, ms69,ms70) THE REAL BARGAIN HERE IS THE 2007W.

2008W $10- THE KEY. Becoming harder to find in any grade. Prices for this is around $1100-$1500. If your lucky, you might be able to find one close to a thousand. This is the key to the whole series. I expect prices to be near $2000 or higher by the end of the year.

2006w & 2007 $25- Prices for these were hanging in the $900 range and recently, has been averaging from $900-1200. What gets me is the 2007w is the KEY, for the $25 pieces. It is a heck of a lot cheaper than the 2008W.
THE 2007W IS THE BARGAIN OUT OF ALL OF THE BURNISHED COINS.At least right now. Was lucky to pick up 4 in the last 6 months, all under $900. (2 raw, 2 pcgs70 first day issue.

2008w $25- An overpriced coin right now (IMHO) selling around $1200-$1500. One sold for $600 (ngc ms-67) recently. Starting to come down in price as the 2007w increases. I think now is the time ( in the short run) to sell this coin if your not a collector.

2006w &2007w $50- prices have somewhat stabilized and selling from $75 -$300 over spot.

2008W $50-The key for this size is averaging $1500-$1800. A real bargain under these prices.

Who knows what will happen with the prices. My honest opinion is once a majority of these coins are in collectors hands, its gonna take a lot of money for them to sell to another collector. Along with the fractional buffaloes.

Not doin a detailed report bout the buffaloes at this time. Although, I will mention the $5 gold buffalo is a steal under $600. I feel it will be near $1000 soon for quite the obvious reasons. A pcgs pr 70 sold for $1500 recently.

Thats all I have to say bout that right now.

 

it looks like you like 1/10 oz. but sorry. 1/10 oz mintage were too many as compare to 1/2 oz. and 1/4 oz. and all your 1/10 oz were overpriced.

So today I received an email from MCM as follows:

Check out their going retail prices... the graded 2008-W 4 Coin Gold Buffalo Set NGC Proof 70 Ultra Cameo is retailing for $8485!

The 2008-W $50 Gold Buffalo NGC Mint State 70 is retailing for $3985!

That's some nutty, nutty stuff folks! :rolling:

 

the mcm 4 coin set was at $9,135 before it was reduced to 8485.

 

they buy from us for $7,500.00 and sell it to us for $8,485.00. a $915.00 profit.

 

we should see a big move of these 2006w to 2008w AGE unc gold series very soon.

Because its just about that time

The prices have been stagnant for quite sometime and the buffs have been a full steam locomotive. The eagles will be playing catch up soon. Remember the $10 AGE's are the series deep key and has the lowest mintage of any buffalo.

 

Other ideas are that the buffs have gotton so expensive that collectors will start looking at the other 2008 W series, such as the AGE and PAE. I especially beleive the PAE have the greatest growing potential.

 

I also got that in my e-mail this week. but I called and ask them how much would they buy 1- 4pc set of 2008-W still sealed & 1 seal box 2009-W UHR and melt was what they offered.

 

Really! Did you try to negotiate that price with them any? or was it firm?

Anyone who sold to MCM at that rate didn't do too well and that's one hellova retail mark up they are making on the flip.

Surprised they only offered melt. That insult of an offer reflects very poorly on the company.

 

if you mentioned 4 pc. of 2008 AGE gold set without telling them that this 2008 set is with (w) mint mark. and also proof or unc. then it is a bullion value. or else they are willing to buy 08w unc set at $3,400.00 to $3,500.00. and 08w proof 4 pc set at $2,900.00 to $3,000.00. see the different. another thing is that if they know you are new to this field. they gonna cheat you as well. and this why most dealer got rich.
