I was wondering if any of you own a nice pen for business purposes. My best frind got maried and gave all of the men in his wedding (me included) a nice Mont Bloch (sp) pen (the one with the white stars on top) I use it to let clients sign contracts or when I cold call busniess. I know this has noathing to do with bullion investing, but no other place to put a questions like this. Any opinions

I answer to your question, no. I use a pencil most all the time and I have a pencil I spent months looking for on eBay (pentel). Maybe not the classiest, but better then any other I have tried.

    Mont Blanc (White Mountain)...I think.

I don't own one, but hear they're nice!

What's a pen? We use digital signatures.

Sorry, I know this is way off topic, but this concerns me closely. I use pentel pencils for drawing, all different sizes, and I have boxes of the things, so I haven't bought any in a long time. Are you telling me they are now hard to get? Why did you have to spend months looking for one? I don't like the sound of that.

Back on topic: What's up with the price of gold this weekend? It's a different price on every site I go to.

Ive tried many many pens- Mont Blanc is the best.

    I use the Starwalker

    THATS A DAMN NICE GIFT!

I prefer the old school fountain pen but if anyone else is using it who is not educated about writing with those they will break it... and for some montblanc pens at over a grand that can become an issue. Their ballpoints write really nice as well though.

You are using drafting pencils. I was looking for a standard 0.5 mm pencil with a retractable point. Drafting pencils were common, but try to find a retractable point. The last time I saw one in the stores was in the 1980's.

Yes you are right, but I also use the standard retractable pencils. They are essential! What I have is a lot of Berol pencils. I just checked and I only have one Pentel retractable 0.5 mm pencil left. You're telling me they are difficult to find now ? (It's true I haven't bought any in a long time, because I briefly switched to different pencils, but I'm using retractable pencils again these days.)

    Aren't these it?

I am pretty sure you will find that is not retractable. See the double taper on mine. The one you picture does not have that.

I have the same model here in my hand, bought some time ago (90s?). I don't know what you mean by retractable. The leads goes out when you push the button :). Is that not the same thing?

    Very nice pencil you have.

No! Not the lead. The point that holds the lead. You know. The one that stabs you all the time. Mine goes away. See the difference. Here it is out and there is no lead yet.

Amazing! A non-stabbing retractable pencil. I never knew because I carry all mine in pencil boxes with my stabby pen nibs. Thanks for posting it.

I've got a Mont Blanc and really like it. The pencil is great too. I also have some terrific Cross pens & pencils. And a Schaffer fountain pen that's my favorite.

The worlds most ergonomic pen is a SENSA, I searched for the worlds best pen back in 2003 while writing many U.S. Navy reports by hand and getting cramps on 12 hour watches, also I would recommend getting the Sensa Gel, which is a later model pen using Parker Gel refills which are super fast drying and very smooth writing. I still use that same pen from 2003 at my current job every day and my wife kept stealing it at home so I purchased one for her which she loves, in turn she purchased one for her Mother and Father ( Both school teachers and they love theirs ) and one for her brother and still wishes to purchase others for more family member. I would NOT recommend getting their non-gel pens though as the company early on hitched up with Fisher Space to use their Unique ink in Sensa's Unique pens, but Fisher ink is junk! Hence there partnering with Parker down the road.
