    Year/Mint: 1925 S
    Mintage: 1,610,000
Notes: This was one of a few coins I targeted via Heritage Auctions. Ironically, I was outbid and later found it listed on ebay. What’s interesting, is that all three were somewhat sequentially graded by PCGS w/ similar album-like rim tone. This example was given the + grade by PCGS. The other two examples received via HA are on par w/ this example, in my opinion. The Heritage photos (which are excellent) don’t necessarily convey any luster characteristics and tend to under-emphasize the color. This coin has a near mirror-like reverse.

    Year/Mint: 1926 S
    Mintage: 6,980,000
Notes: Some contacts present which are appropriate for the grade. Entirely over-shadowed by the original mint luster and attractive rim colors in hand.

Notes: This was the 3rd coin via Heritage which I believe to be of the same grading lot. All three examples have a similar appearance and most likely resided in the same album/folder/etc… (#’s ending in 3517,3521, & 3523).

Notes: The booming rich luster w/ attractive early stage tone periphery make this my favorite coin in the set, aesthetically. Despite some light/scattered abrasions in-line w/ the grade… the combination of a deep cartwheel w/ bullseye color pattern makes it my favorite to view.

Beautiful coins. I started that set several years ago and when I did, I was determined to acquire the key dates first. It took a while but I got the keys, quit looking for a while, got interested in something else, then the new 2022s came along. They got my interest up again, problem was it got everyone else interests up as well and the common dates are higher now than the key dates were when I started. I will complete it someday.

I started a thread of completed sets several years ago now, do you mind posting yours there? https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-completed-sets.281654/
