PM sellers, why do most do this ? this is very frustrating !

Well I was on the hunt for my next $20 Liberty Double eagle and lets be honest there
not falling out of the sky...LOL, I have been trying to find particular dates and only
in PCGS slabs, I think they hold there value better then NGC, after that you have the
lower tier, I even found a guy thru ebay that use exclusively IGC and ANACS holders
I scratch my head on that one...LOL, so now the frustrating part after being disenchanted with my last purchase from AMPEX and the 11 days I had to wait for
more order, I thought I would shop around a little, my new favorite is liberty coin
galleries of Huntington Beach, Ca have ordered from them 4 times and get my order
in just 3 days and with all my GOLD purchases us my American Express card, why on a $2,500 purchase I get the equivalent of a two night stay in points which brings the
cost of the coin down about $325, the only problem with liberty is they dont have the
best selection, but always try there first to see what I can find, but no luck this time
around.

I like ebay, unfortunately they do not accept AMEX for coin purchases but have noticed
they take it for somethings not sure why though, so dont buy there for that reason.

So back to the frustrating part, JM Bullion, Money Metals and a couple other sites only
for the most part offer Random years in a particular grade heres the kicker in a PCGS or NGC holder there choice ! I dont like NGC holders, so if they sent that to me I would just sed that back, only APMEX offers grades plus certain years and they have a great selection also do the same with krugerrands offer year specific, so I guess APMEX
wins again...LOL, ordered up the liberty hopefully to will beat the time frame of my last
one ?

I’m gonna be honest I understood approximately 10% of what you wrote.

 

There are some that have different listings for just NGC or just PCGS on the random date ones. I like Liberty Coin a lot too. I understand you not liking the random dates though.
I don't want to randomly end up with 2 of the same date.

 

Told you guys he would order from APMEX again.

 

Thanks for translating. If you’re strictly a PM stacker like OP seems to be, then why care about the date? 1 oz gold is 1 oz gold, and if all you care about is being loaded in Pm then why care a lick about the details.

Lets face it, waiting sucks, when there's basically only one game in town
being APMEX that handles what your looking for and offers a good varieties
what can you do but bite the bullet, now my teeth hurt ..LOL

 

Lets see if they can beat there previous record, not sure why they can
get me my bullion coins AGE,S , Buffalos with in 4 days but have to wait
almost three times as long for a $20 liberty, I called them on it and there
answer was the numismatic coins are in a different vault, and that has
what to do with it ? still trying to figure that out.

 

Doubtful. Home depot claims 72 hour shipping for all flooring materials. It’s been 3 weeks and the moulding hasn’t gotten here. They blame the “supply chain shortage.” I guarantee the so-called problems with supply will be the go to excuse for the next 10-20 years. At one time it was legitimate. It no longer is, but companies like to use it as a crutch.

 

Are you going to shop around for more than 11 days minus normal shipping time? If so, you might as well order from APMEX again...

 

If you spend $2500 on a gold coin and put it on your credit card so you can get 2 free nights, that’s an expensive hotel. And to figure the total coin is costing about $325, well, you’re still paying $2500 for something.

Not just their website. Though I haven't called any coin company in probably 6+ years for something specific from their generic selection. So you may now just get someone in the orient answering the phone.

 

I have the AMEX platinum and I’m pretty sure that 2500 absolutely does not equal nights. You get 1% on nornal purchases with Plat. $2500 equals $25, which is two nights at a Tijuana organ harvesting hostel.

 

AMEX is a charge card not a credit card, that means I pay the balance off every month with no interest, we usually stay at the Hampton inn when we travel depending on the location, the price can be anywhere from $175 a night to
$230 the beds are exceptionally comfortable and a nice hot breakfast is included
its been several years now since I have to pay for a hotel room

 

You think these companies would understand the mind set of the collector, specific
years are very important to me, but again others may not care..LOL

I pay my credit card off every month as well. I refuse to pay there high interest rates. I also stay at nice hotels and get the continental breakfast.
