There is such a thing as a reasonable wait time, I have ordered allot of bullion and modern coins from the well over 20K, they have 4 customer tiers in which iam second from the top, you would think that would actually mean something..LOL
I had a whole paragraph in response and poof it's gone. The short gist of it was, someone someplace always has a fatter wallet. We all like shiney so keep those pictures coming.
Years and I still have sealed boxes and envelopes. A bunch of them. I opened one box last week and my Internet is so bad I haven’t posted photos of them. On top we’re 4 pieces of gold purchased in 2012. One day I’ll get through them but it’s not a big deal to me. I have them in my possession.
I'm guilty of opening up a box while looking for something specific as I come across something I don't remember I had...not that that's a bad thing (I really hope it isn't) flip thru a few more bars and come across a duplicate. When that happens I look to see if the bars are the same or different then try and keep them together. How's that for records keeping
I’ve done the same thing to the point of having 3 of the same coin. They were all key or semi-key dates so I made out just fine.
Heck, three is just a start sometimes. I am such a hoarder I intentionally buy multiples. My favorite (worst) story is I always wanted a nice Pillar dollar. A few years ago I bought a really nice AU one from a local dealer. Went to put it in the SDB and found 4 others AU/BU. So, at least 5 times in my life "I always wanted a nice pillar dollar". Like you, they are nice coins and all worth more today than I paid, (maybe $250 on average for nice AU/BU coins). However, quantity never stops me. I wanted a nice Vahran II family coin for a long time. I think today I own maybe 12? I have no idea, but still will buy another I run across. For precious metal? Forgetaboutit. I own quantities of anything if I am buying for PM value.
Heck yeah, many years ago I sold off a bunch of early Mustang and VW parts before I moved. I used the change from that collection to downsize in PM 's. Anything and everything at spot or really close to as the spot price was climbing (spot was $4.44) when I finished up the conversion. After the move I still had a few tons of choice parts but got sidetracked and put everything else on hold. Should have doubled down and sold it all to convert. Hindsight and all. As long as you Hold it, IT can't be all that bad.
