I have been ordering from APMEX for many years and am on there second highest Tier, so I ordered a $20 liberty two days ago hoping it would be here by the weekend, checked the order status and it said would ship on thr 27th, what the _ _ _ _ !!!! , I called them up and she told me that the numismatic coins come from a different vault, not sure how that makes much of a difference, so in the future will not be ordering pre 1933 gold from them with those kind of shipping delays.
It’s a microwave world ! they already have my money and expect me to wait over a week in half before they ship it no thank you
Tier smear! The "other" answer you did not get is they hold your payment (regardless of method) for several days until it clears their bank.
they usually ship next day, always use my AMEX and there issue is its at a different Vault, again unacceptable where’s the other vault Siberia…LOL
I have only been ordering them for a short time, but I can tell you that they have never shipped stuff to me quickly. It is always 3-5 days before they ship. I don't like it but live with it.
Speaking of vaults, interesting story about Don Adams, the star of "Get Smart." He was offered 2 choices: a salary of $12,500 a week....or $4,000 a week PLUS residuals. He took the latter and it amounted to millions. Although if he had the extra $8,000 a week and invested it before the residual $$$ kicked in big-time, it might have made a dent in the difference.
Story went from you being on their second highest Tier list to them being on your number one 5hit list!
I ordered from them for the first time in 5 years. It took three weeks for me to get my order and it arrived this afternoon while I was mowing the lawn. I sent them a check to get the best prices as I didn’t want to add to my cost by using my credit card. Sure the credit card would’ve been faster but I want the lowest cost. If it takes longer no big deal to me long as I get my order and everything’s fine I’m happy. And my order was fine. It was all there in the condition they said it would be with the right grades. I’m happy and glad to do business with them.
I think what she means is that some of the coins they advertise for sale are owned by other dealers, and need to be secured before the transaction can be completed.
No, I called them and they said they keep the bullion in a separate vault not sure why everything can’t fit in the same one or they were just blowing smoke !
They have a quick ship program but apparently it only applies to modern bullion, but I have always received my coins in 4 days max ! from them which was really cool but having to wait along time for my $ 20 liberty isnt making me to happy I bet you if I had bought from them on eBay they would have gotten it right out for sure.
With the quantities of what they sell on a 5 days a week basis I highly doubt they have just one vault. It does not make business sense. I deal with several large companies and they all have 2 separate vaults. One for what they sell heavily and one for lighter sales. You got what you ordered. So it didn’t arrive as fast as you expected. But has it made any difference? I highly doubt it as I’m sure you still have that pet 1933 gold coin in your possession. Lighten up as life is too short to stress over something like this.
You should have been around in the 50s. When you finally conned your mom into letting you order something off the back of a cereal box and your heart sunk when you read "please wait 6-8 weeks for delivery"
