MCM only sells coins. I couldn't find any bars on their site. I know this is a coin site but I'm looking to invest in bars too. I'm even thinking of buying 100 oz bars.
Who is the best place for that?

MCM is for collectors as they mainly sell US Mint numismatic quality items in original packaging or certified and slabbed, but they do sell some uncertified bullion, mainly ASE and AGE bullion.

Here are some other sites you can shop, not sure what kind you want, art bars, generic, gold/silver, others, just shop around... no special order of the list below:

Apmex, Kitco, First Majestic, Quality Silver Bullion, Scottsdale Silver, Johnson Matthey, Provident Metals, Bullion Exchange International, Monarch Precious Metals, Pan American Silver Bullion, Northwest Territorial Mint...

I like bars too, and I think apmex usually has a good selection, especially if you want ones that are new and come sealed, sometimes they have nice weekend sales on named bars.

Over time I have become convinced to buy the smaller sizes of bars even if I want to buy more than an ounce at one time, because it is easier to resell if you want only resell a little bit (like if you want to get rid of 20 ounces while keeping 80), and because buyers are a little prejudiced against the bigger bars at the present time. Also I found that I wasn't really going to save that much by buying the bigger bars, sometimes I wasn't going to save at all! But YMMV.

Edit: I think the monarch bars (see Packman's avatar) are very interesting, and if you search here, there are good discussions about bars here and there because some of us do buy them.

ampex is selling 1995w 5 pc proof set at a bargain $5,595.00. this set can easily go back up to $7,500.00. the silver alone went as up as high as $6,000.00 plus before. now the gold also go up. the four pieces gold set should be selling right now at over $3,200.00.

    Thanks krispy.

I actually went with bullion exchange. All of their stuff seems to be high quality and I found out that they have a 100oz logo bar. Its not on the web site yet, but the salesman sent me a picture and its the nicest bar out there.
The price was cheaper than some englehard bars I saw on line.

apmex is a good place for getting silver eagles in bulk. If you only have money for one or two, I'd suggest pooling your money with some local friends and family who may also be interested in buying silver eagles and purchase at least a tube of 20 eagles and than split the shipping among your friends based on the number of silver eagles they've ordered. You'll save alot of money by doing it that way, both on shipping and, if you get enough orders, you'll be saving money on the actual silver eagles too, not just the shipping. In other words, if you're able to get friends and family to order 20 or more silver eagles combined, you'll be able to save 50 cents per silver eagle. If you don't want to do that, than there's always ebay, unfortunately, ebay doesn't guarantee condition the way apmex does.

Let's face it, I don't think APMEX is in it for the small order. If they lower their shipping to a few dollars, then I bet their number of orders probably jump 10 fold. Which means their labor costs, etc, jump disproportionately. They probably picked the "sweet spot" for shipping, so it deters the small order, but gets the big orders.

Instead of buying one coin at a time, you're probably better off saving up for 5 or 10 of them, or even a roll.... I'm in New York City, and all of the dealers want like $4-$5 over spot.... APMEX has been by far the cheapest if you buy a roll. At least, that I know of...
