Stopped when the $25.00 ASE silver started to sell with high mark ups.

Theres all kinds of investors, people that buy today and sell tomorrow hoping for a big payday and there are those that hold for a little whiled sell it off, then there are
people like me, I buy for my kids and grand kids so price replay doesn't matter
because it wont get liquidated until long after I am gone...LOL

I am a collector first - that secondarily likes that it may gain (or at least store) value over time.

Nowadays, I think “silver stacker” is a more common term than “precious metals investor.” Stackers that follow r/WallStreetSilver call themselves “silverbacks” or “apes.”

I'm definitely more of a coin collector than any kind of stacker that's for sure! Most of my silver is boutique or htf, it wasn't planned it's just the way it happened. :cigar: I haven't bought an ASE since 2019, I bought the silver below around six months ago but I didn't buy it to flip it, I bought it because it caught my eye and it's scarce.

That’s funny. I go through spells where I pull all my silver and gold stacks out and put them on the kitchen table. I say it is so I can inventory, but really it’s just because I like looking at the stacks…… When I do that my wife calls me Scrooge McDuck.

I am a buy and forget it guy. There have been two times I sold some of my stacks. Once to buy an old guitar and another for some engine work on my old hot rod… When the silver gets unmanageable I have been known to head to my LCS and swap for some gold. My intent is for my kids & grandkids to be burdened with liquidating my stacks but they are mine and if economic conditions down the road demand it, I would sell them.

Been a long time since I brought gold and the price is crazy high since last time I purchased but then again so is the stock market, even with the drop, and real estate. If some one has some money, then I think it is best to have all three investments and not go crazy with any. For life is worth a lot more then that. With that said, looking to buy for I enjoy the look and the hold as well as being diversified.

It really matters what your objectives are ? I have a great thing going with BTC
so I am able to buy 3-4 onces of GOLD per month, have a really nice coin coming
in tomorrow, last month I bought a Platinum eagle, a GOLD Buffalo and a Palladium
eagle I dont really concern myself with price as my kids and grandkids will be doing
the selling, 25 years from now.

You really ought to consider taking a teeny-tiny fleck of that foam and becoming a Supporter here. One year costs one one-hundredth as much as a Palladium Eagle. Plus, it'll let you put images in PMs. ;)

My goal is to make more than I paid, hopefully double but I'm not greedy so I'll be fine with almost double. :cigar: I always think resale when I buy but the truth is I have some gold coins that I probably wouldn't be able to sell at all because I'm too attached to them. Yep, I'm truly a coin collector more than an investor.
