    One of my favorites (I simply can't limit it to one) is this large Roman Republic Anonymous Aes Grave. The patina is nice and the obverse and reverse are quite strong for a cast coin of 241-235 BC

    recently adopted by Claudius - skinny looking kid.

    Next. I would ask for a photo of me before I gained weight, but we don't go back that far enough,
    so... Nero after he gained weight...

    When it was sold to me it was described as "Boscoreale toning", however I don't believe there is any way to accurately prove it. As far as I know there was never a definitive cataloguing of aurei found at Pompeii. But , I could be wrong.
