Conratulations to @AncientNumis and a special thank you to @lordmarcovan for the giveaway. While your "traditional" giveaways are nice, I did very much like the mystery component to this one.

@AncientNumis- I've been away and lax in my CoinTalk duties for quite some time, and only got around to selecting your goodies today.

Hopefully these four pieces will be satisfactory. You've waited long enough, and then there's still the journey across the pond, but oh well. ;)

None of 'em is perfect, but hopefully they'll be worth the wait.

Seleucid Empire: bronze Æ13 of Antiochus IV, ca. 175-164 BC, struck at Ake-Ptolemais in Phoenicia

Roman Empire: bronze sestertius of Commodus, ca. 177-192 AD

Mailed with a few old stamps added, just for fun, and a Type 1 LordM elongated cent. :)

Beautiful prizes! Hope you are coping well with the loss of Mom. It gets a bit easier but never goes away. When I see the posts, I shoot a little prayer your way.

Thanks. I've spent the first two months of this year in bed, hollowed out by crippling depression and only able to get up to go to work. I count the days where I get the trash and recycling taken out to be a small accomplishment.

    Sleep, work, sleep, eat, repeat.

Ladymarcovan is a gem- instead of being a nag, she says, "doing 1% is better than doing nothing".

So maybe that's "oversharing", but hey, that's my excuse for falling WAY behind on all my shipping obligations. I let most of that fall by the wayside since it's primarily giveaway stuff and not paid purchases. But I WILL catch up. Eventually. ;)

Thanks so much for the coins @lordmarcovan! They all look awesome, and I can’t wait for them to arrive (I’ll let you all know when they do and post here again). I’m really intrigued by the jeton and I also don’t have a Seleucid bottle cap coin so I love those ones, but all the coins are really fascinating to me.

    Best wishes, AncientNumis.

    The coins have arrived!
I want to say thanks so much for your generosity @lordmarcovan, I am so so grateful for this. I’ve attached a little picture of them as a group below. I love every one of them, and think they’re all great in their own special way! The commodus sestertius I love because of how it feels in hand, and it’s my first coin of emperor commodus. The silver Hadrian provincial hemidrachm is wonderful because I didn’t yet have Hadrian (I don’t have many Roman emperors yet, I must confess), it’s silver, and it’s my first Roman provincial coin as well! I love that aspect about it, and I think Roman provincial coins are great because it combines Greece and Rome. The Seleucid coin is actually my favourite, because I loooove the facts it’s a bottle cap coin (first one of those too). And as for the jeton, I’m really intrigued by it and I’m looking forward to doing some research on it. (I also love the elongated coin too, I think it’s a really cool idea) So overall, you could not have picked better coins! A lot of numismatic ‘firsts’ for me and just wonderful pieces. I can’t put into words how happy I am. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for this awesome giveaway.

    Best wishes, AncientNumis.
