I picked up these from a collection recently. I know they are common sets, but I've heard there can be errors on certain sets? RPMs, etc. Any advice appreciated.
Highly unlikely, but I guess you could check for the 1968 no S dime? Or the 1971 no S nickel? Hope springs eternal
The best place to look for Proof errors/varieties that I can think if right now of is the Cherrypicker's Guide Vol. 2.
Hard to believe but I was just reading in the 1968 dimes. And I think I got it right it is not an S but a few little flaws.
So I have a 1969 San Francisco proof set sealed - dime, quarter and one of the Pennie’s lack the “s” but the “s” is on the second penny and nickel. Thoughts?
There are a few variety sites to check. Ie Coppercoins, variety Vista, wexler files, coneca ...as for errors there can be anything - in theory - such as clashes and strike throughs.
