Your question is a bit off limits to me as I feel the need to protect the OP's best interest in not sharing the price paid!
Lower mintage, but ungraded....Only one they have available in one ounce right now. https://www.apmex.com/product/198448/2020-mexico-1-oz-gold-libertad-bu
Since starting coin collecting in 2008, I have learned a great deal from many sources. One of my favorite sources, as you would expect, is Coin Talk. There is no magic in Coin Talk, just good sound information that you should take with a grain of salt. I like to buy gold coins commemorative of some topic. I really like the Apollo thread. There is a great deal of information including some great silver AND gold coins. Each year, the Mint has come coins has a commemorative subject/topic. The Mint wind overboard with the colored coins of the Basketball Hall of Fame. I take complaints of the Mint with a small grain of salt. I'm the one that makes the decision about which coins I like and will buy. Thanks to the input from Coin Talk and the hard work of the Mint, I have been able to create a terrific collection of many topics. Thanks to all for your information and very hard work to give us information and recommendations that we can decide if the coins meet our expectations.
I can see 2500 if it's something you really like. I mean the maple is a beautiful coin too and it's one of the best buys out there.
The Maple doesn’t have a low mintage and one side has the queen....Nothing wrong with stacking maples but not worth paying an extra premium for graded unless you are collecting a run or the year has special meaning and it’s going to the PC.
Problem with the maple is they mint them like candy ! so there is no value beyond that, allot of the Libertad shave very low numbers which increases the value.
