    How appropriate that the five billion note has a pile of rocks, or is it something else? LOL
    Sitting this one out, but thanks for the opportunity.

    If I had 13.8 million dollars, I'd see if I could get my hands on a 1933 St. Gaudens Double Eagle. ;)
    (After purchasing a 1916 D Merc and 1909 S VDB for my albums of course.)

    These were printed during the hyperinflation making them even more ludicrous.
    The same time they were printing these they were printing the 1 Trillion Dollar Bill.

    Thanks for yet another fun opportunity Rob. What's that phrase we've been using for quite some time now? Oh yeah, deja vu buddy ;)

    What would I do with $13.8MM? Honestly, I'm happy right now. First I'd make sure the wife could retire finally. I already am. Then I'd be sharing the wealth to bring some joy and happiness to those less fortunate.

    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
    Be well. Stay healthy. Enjoy family and friends. And make sure you set aside some time to appreciate that inevitable tryptophan crash on Thursday. I know I will.

    I would invest in real estate in an area where the value continues to rise, year over year, generating further income.

    I would donate to a food pantry.

    I would help children, animals, and anyone in circumstances who's life would be changed and improved by financial aide.

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

    I got to touch a thousand dollar bill once in 1966 or so (we lived in the place where it happened for a few years around that year) when I was about 9-12. My dad brought it home specially so me and my siblings could see a real one. Then it must have gone back to the bank.

    I'd make some really cool donations to some places if I had a billion dollars. And I would travel.

    I would buy lots of land, pit a nice house and barn on it. Let the vegetation alone and let the animals on it roam free. Give a lot of money to childrens causes.

    1) Thanks for the contest

    2) With the $13.8 million dollars I would use part of it to invite a bunch of CT's members to a special coin show, probably FUN in January, or the ANA in August.

    Then we could all travel the bourse and have fun buying a bunch of stuff.

    I'd be looking at Bust $1/2's and Barbers of course.

    See you next year at the ANA-- I hope.

    My wife and I were talking only a few days ago that we have something many richer people do not have: enough. Barring a complete global-wide crash, our modest lifestyle means we likely won’t outlive our income.

    All three of our children were making more money than I did when I retired at age 66. As a pastor we learned to live within our means. I’ve put my life insurance into a trust for my children. They don’t need any more financial help from us.

    Therefore $13.8 million would allow me to:
    - Pay the government their share;
    - Go to Charity Navigator for help in finding the most efficient charities in the following areas:
    - Suicide prevention for veterans;
    - Clean water for those who have little or no access.
    - Food programs for children;
    - Self-sufficiency programs that provide chickens, pigs, bees, etc., for those in poverty.
    - Foundations that provide sabbaticals for pastors and teachers, especially in small congregations and school districts that struggle financially.

    I’d also increase the gifts to the many charities and churches we already support. It would be a hoot.

    If I win, and the bills COULD be monetized, I would do the following:

    1. Donate an appropriate tithe to the church.
    2. Buy a small amount of exonumia.
    3. Properly secure my daughters inheritance.
    And, I am thankful for my children, my wife, my employment, and life in general.

    Thanks to @Nyatii and @lordmorcovan for a really cool giveaway… but that isn’t the only thing I am thankful for. We are old, but in relatively good health. I have wife and family and farm and animals to keep me entertained. So life is good, and for that I am thankful. We definitely aren’t financially rich, but we are comfortable, which is a great deal more than too many others can say. Getting $13.8 US would, I think, be a little more trouble than I would want, but I wouldn’t turn it down. The 0.8 million would give us funds to spruce up the farm (a backhoe to dig one large and one small pond, a new well to feed the large pond, some replacement bees, and some new fencing) and to have a big rainy-day account. Might as well use a million to set up trust funds for the kids and grandkids… enough to be really useful without spoiling them. The remaining $12 million would be where all the trouble would come from and would have to go. I think three million total to some colleges for scholarships (one I retired from and two that gave me degrees). Then I think we would have a family meeting to divvy up the remaining $9 million between worthy charitable organizations.
