colorized or not, its still gold at spot prices. If I were in the market to buy some gold I'd jump on it

    perth colorized coins

I am very interested in buying the 1/10 ounce coin, for 50 a total of 5 ounces the shipping is only $25.00, but when i clicked on the picture of the coin, it said 1/20 ounce, this worried me. Although the fractional coins normally command a large premium to spot, I do not see a great deal of resale perth mint coins, never-the-less colorized. I know that spot is spot, but the melters want to pay you 20% under spot. I might make a purchase tomorrow morning, unless I hear some negative reports. Thanks for your help.

I wonder how much the paint weighs, and if this paint is sold at gold bullion prices?

  7. No deal. Not a fan of the ox. How hard might these be to resell? TC

I decided to get one, but apmex web site wouldn't let me get into the order pages.
    Same thing this morning.
    Oh well.

Why paint coins? Seriously, why? As if they are not beautiful enough? Actually I don't think it adds to the beauty at all. I think it detracts from it.

This is just another attempt to get others interested who normally would not be IMO.

You can't get them from the mint because the mint only sells to authorized resellers, as I understand it. I don't believe you can go to the USMINT.GOV website and buy ASE's.

Also not sure what this has to do with painted Perth gold at spot, not to be jerk, but kind of off topic.

I buy from the Mint .. Well Not many last year.. LOL..
And not too far off topic.. 3rd Party Sellers..
AMPEX sent me the Email link ,, Gee Painted Gold at spot..
I was kinda on topic.. Both Companies sent out Mailers..

I wonder what kind of Deal the Dealers Get on the ASE?,,, Now that was off topic..
    Cheers

I am not the off topic on topic police so I am not sure why I even made the comment as I really don't care. I get your point though.

I think I read that you have to buy 200+ coins to get the mint discount or be the authorized seller. I am really becoming disenchanted with the US Mint. We'll get all the answers on how the government will solve our problems tonight though. How exciting!

it seems the gold price is falling, so maybe it'd be better to hold onto to your dollars till the price gets more "reasonable".

Why? A falling price is the best time to buy. Or would you rather purchase when the price is $200 more?

I saw the email from Apmex looked at the painted coins and thought about it a bit too late. They were sold out when I went back to buy. Gold at spot (about $1065) would have been a good deal. Of course, only if gold goes up again.
