Oh stop. Everyone knows "Australia" doesn't exist! "Kangaroos" and "wallabys"?! Come on man, you must think I'm an idiot!
Thanks for your input Ed...I thought they were a type of error but I'm new to all this so I'm just trying to learn from all of you.
Some are error coins, but you can't prove it because they have been Waffled. Read on and learn. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/are-waffled-coins-worth-anything.137945/
Wouldn't NGC be able to narrow the date down further based on whether or not the coins were 90%, 40%, or clad? Don't get me wrong, I think those are super cool. I'd love to have a waffled coin. But it seems rather lazy on NGC's part.
Extreme doubled die Brasil... U.K. doubled die... Canada wrong planchet...25 cents on 10 cent planchet...
I like double struck errors that show double images, especially on state quarters. Double Struck New Jersey Triple Struck North Carolina
The New Jersey is an extraordinary example. I don’t think a lot of people realize how scarce DS/BS coins, with two full, well placed strikes are.
I found this when I was about 8. I didn't know what the date was so I put it in the Reverse slot in my album.
This thread is like a novice (me) sitting down to play poker with pros (paddyman and others), so I won't embarrass myself by posting anything. LOL
