MORE Six Pence! This is truely awesome for 50% silver What you notice about this coin is that the tail feathers are entirely complete, and the slight design features of the scales on the legs is visable and disinct. The birds head has full display feathers on the cheeks. The ears on the profile are undisurbed and complete. It is just an exceptional coin all around. This image, btw, was taken on a bench of while waiting for a train.
I bought this coin at the first coin show I have attended since early 2020: New Zealand Sixpence 1935 Silver, 19.3 mm, 2.80 gm
My Dad was in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service during WWII. He left my brother and I, his coin collection. There were about 50 foreign or non-U.S. coins that we split. I don't have a way of taking pictures, but I have a New Zealand coin that says it's a 1941 Bronze Penny. It's not worn down much because my Dad took good care of them and I put them in something safe.
