Entry Post. I am fortunate that i own one gold coin, a 2001 1/2 oz US Bullion coin given to me as a best man's gift by my oldest friend, so i am not eligible for the gold coin.
But my "B" choice would be the 1899-O Barber Half, and my "C" choice would be the 1918-D Walking Liberty Half.

They do have a Coin Tags, Swaps & Giveaways forum on CU, though like this one, it is not always terribly active.

I like to include the CU people in many of my regular monthly giveaways here, because I've been a member there for 20 years as of August 17th (yes, there's a another giveaway over there to celebrate that as well).

The CU people passed the hat around in 2013 and took up a collection to send me to England for a week to go metal detecting, which had been a lifelong dream of mine. I didn't solicit that. Somebody just started passing the hat around and they even started a website and by golly they paid for at least half of my travel expenses, with the sole condition being that I would write about it.

Let me tell you, that trip was a great adventure, but the fact that so many people I only knew from the Internet just up and voluntarily sent me on it... well... that was huge, as you can imagine.

So while I don't spend as much time over there nowadays (I prefer the software platform on this site), I do still owe a great debt of gratitude to the people on that forum for all they've done for me and taught me over two decades.

Entry post - I have owned gold coin(s).
I lean to the bronze antoninianus of Victorinus, which has features I can discern. Closer to home, the Capped Bust half dollar, 1834, is attractive.

    Nice classic track.

This one also applies (and is more from my generation). :headphone:

*Hmm. This one stands up just fine as a rock song and the instrumentals are great, but I realize just now that the lyrics and video might not pass modern political correctness standards. As to the blocky CGI animation, one must remember that was absolute cutting edge stuff in the late 1980s.

So you’ll likely remember Sara, seen at left in the intro pic.

Sara was adopted and has a new home (her name is Cleo now). But since her new owners (my father and stepmother) went on a trip, we’ve had Sara/Cleo back with us for a few days.

This evening I went to take her back home to Dad’s and she squirted out of a gap in the soft-sided cat carrier like a watermelon seed.

She’s back safely in her new home now. She eventually settled and did OK on the ride after she was out of that carrier, which she wanted NO part of!

How wonderful for you. I just saw a program on TV about someone who went to England to a field with a metal detector where a known Queen had fought a battle and found a number of pristine silver coins. I hope your findings were as exciting.
