Had two gold boullion items in my cart today to buy i wanted to resell and the (&*$&^%$&^%$&^%$&^%U$E^&%$ website would not process 3 attempts, then they were no longer available and it then wants me to verify i am a human. Did anyone else get anything?
They weren't bullion and the website works fine 99 percent of the time. No ones going to have any sympathy for you missing out on flipping something
Got to "confirm" and "place order" when it told me to "confirm that you're human". I'm using Google incognito and AdBlocker, and apparently that kept it from going through. By the time I disabled those, it was all over.
Can confirm. If anyone (like me) uses AdBlockers and/or incognito mode, and/or DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser, all that needs to be turned off in order to complete the new "are you a human" page prior to finalizing an order, which partially relies on Cookies. This is a new step added to the process in the last few months. I almost missed out on an order, but was able to realize what was happening in time and as soon as it was all turned off, it was good to go. The mint should warn users for this, but at this point, I am not sure they know its even happening.... Obviously, the smart thing to do is turn these off well in advance of placing any orders, but not too far in advance or the site will log you out for inactivity.
I had the same situation, so I tried ordering on my phone. That worked out fine I have an order, And yes it's backordered, for a 1/10 OZ. My grandson turns 21 in December, I'll give it to him, that is if I ever get it.
I am a sap for the family too..... My daughter visited at Thanksgiving and I pulled a half eagle out of the safe and put it in a necklace for her. When she left to fly home I gave her a gold dollar to hand to my grandson..... Spent a lifetime wishing I could afford gold coins. Now that I have them I send them off to live with others!
