Is there a good coin holder available for the 2009 UHR. I don't like the coin bouncing around in the mint supplied capsule. I normally use Intercept shield 2 x 2s for my high-value coins, but their 27mm holder is a bit too thin for the thick UHR.
I do not have an answer for you but I would also be interested to hear if there is an alternative besides slabbing! The coin moves way more than I care for as well! All that money for such a beautiful coin and the mint puts it in a holder that allows the coin to bounce around inside.?.
Does the coin's rattling around inside the Mint capsule create a risk of scratching? Or is the plastic smooth enough or soft enough that even 24K gold won't scratch?
You should be able to push the capsule together to tighten it. Mine was the same way when I received mine.
besides the holder, I also wonder if you stack your coins together. since gold is soft, I wonder if stacking the coins together can cause scratch between themselves.
I seem to remember someone, maybe even here, complaining that putting coins in tubes caused scratching even for 22K gold.
