    Should I submit this coin??

20210626_121355.jpg 20210626_121547.jpg 20210626_121434.jpg 20210626_121401.jpg "Miss Liberty's hairline (mainly the "V" of her hair below the bun) between the Eagle's left wing (on your right as you are viewing the coin) and the Wreath. There are also facial elements (lips, chin and maybe more) between the Eagle's right wing and the Wreath. Also, there are remnants of Miss Liberty's neckline protruding from the middle of the Eagle's right wing to near the "n" in "In" of "In God We Trust" and there appears to be something to the Southwest of the feather fletching of the arrows." you may want to post full front and back photos straight on. Based on the photos you posted on another site I will say MS-64

Yes, your right. I was going to contact @messydesk. Im learning about VAMs and thought maybe this is common and didn't want to seem stupid asking him LOL but your right, we all have to learn somehow. I will take better front back pics before I do. He probably gets hundreds of dumb questions just like this LOL

I learned a lot this round, Thanks

At this point the reverse appears to be the stronger side. Full pic of the obverse would help a lot. It will grade in my opinion. Good luck

NICE Morgan. In that condition, definitely a slab candidate, if that is your inclination…if the 63-64 holds it currently lists for $300-600 at NGC.

As @Pickin and Grinin mentioned, check the listed VAMs again. As I understand it, clashing alone does not merit additional VAM assignments.

Personally…I only have one slabbed Morgan, a 1884CC that came in OGP in the 1980s. The rest are in capsules. I can take them out and work with them…better pictures with controlled glare, etc. Also, the heft and feel (with white cotton gloves) is very satisfying…jmho…Spark

Well, I think any 79-O that looks so nice should be submitted, regardless of the VAM. This one looks solid 64.

It is a beautiful Morgan with nice stand-out clashing! I wouldn't hesitate to submit the coin. At least you'll know just what you have.

I wouldn't submit it to NGC or PCGS because they don't attribute all Morgan dollars. Only ANACS attributes all Morgan dollars.

Try backing off on the lights a little. It will show more of the details.
From your last photos I would think it grades somewhere between 63 and 64. I don't think it would grade Gem.

I don't see where the clash has transferred lettering, which is required for a listing. That said, the clashing that is there can be used as a fingerprint of sorts when comparing with other listed varieties. 79-O is not an easily attributed date. There is often doubling on the left of the 9. The O looks like a medium O, not a large one. There may be doubling on the Phrygian cap top that might help with an attribution.
